Project Management has provided:

- An emphasis on phased development i.e. regular and measurable progress.
- A systematic approach to resolving high-risk factors associated with an objective.
- A focus on team thus inculcating the concept of teamwork and skill specialization – delegating tasks to team members selected for their skills that correspond to the requirements of the project, leading to specialized input into the development process.
- A built-in mechanism for assessing the feasibility of a proposed project – assessing requirements and matching available resources to those requirements.
- A process for involving all concerned parties into project execution, ensuring that the end product perfectly matches the requirements and thus avoiding last minute glitches.

3rd Day - Cafe World
For the 3rd day, we're introduced to a new technique of finding information called Cafe World. At first, our group seems a bit confused on what we have to do. But after some time, we find it very interesting. When we start moving around to another table, we became more clear on what Cafe World is all about. We don't even notice time pass by very quickly and it's already 4.30pm and we adjourned for the day.
Cafe World is a good method to gain information from others and share knowledge with others.
In order to implement World Cafe, we need to identify the host & members of Cafe World Alpha, Cafe World Beta, Cafe World Theta and Cafe World Delta. First the host & members of each Cafe will discuss on the topic given. Then members of each cafe will move to other cafe to share knowledge and gain more information on the same topic. All the information and knowledge gain will be transfer to a piece of paper with creative explanation or skecthes.
2nd Day Exploring Tools & Methods For Knowledge Sharing
2nd day started off with a recap on what has been learn in the 1st day. Then, we're given group assignment on different topics. Our group's topic is tools for project management and web conferencing.
In order to get information on Project Management and Web Conferencing Tools, we need to idenfity the features, the design or development tools and the license of the software either freeware or proprietary.
As most of us don't have any knowledge on the topic given, we spent a lot of time trying to find the related information from the Internet. We managed to grab some of the idea but the rest of it was merely new info for us.
Presentation was done in the afternoon by MMT for the project management tools and Kak J for the web conferencing tools. Some notes on the topics are as above.
Presentation from Alpha, Beta, Theta and Delta, the lesson learnt is that we need to find method (steps) of the data or information acquire then the necessary tool to be use and finally what are the techniques require to implement the knowledge we gained.
From the presentation, information gained from the internet is the method on how to search on PM and Web Conferencing Tools. When we visit the website of the tools, we managed to get futher knowledge on both tools. We selected 5 good tools and justify why we choose 2 best tools. And we share the knowledge we acquire to all via presentation and upload to our blog.

Topic 1: Understanding Knowledge Management
Definition of KM is a systematic processes by which knowledge is created, captured, shared and leveraged.
Sesi Berkenalan
